I'm sorry I don't know whether Shiplake and Henley are the same parish or whether they have separate parish records. I apologise for my ignorance. Also from what I can't find, Oxfordshire records do not seem to be well serviced online like some of the other counties in England! Is this so or am I missing something fundamental? 😉

I'm wondering whether anyone has the parish baptism records for Shiplake and or Henley and whether someone could kindly do a lookup for me?

The baptism I am looking for is that of a Rachel DREWETT. I do not have a baptism date. The estimated year of birth/baptism is 1781 based on the 1861 census (Henley) & 1779 based on the 1851 census (Shiplerk-sic).

As she died in 1862 there are no ages recorded on her FreeBMD death record, so I can't pinpoint any more accurately than that.

The information I am seeking is:
1). Date of baptism
2). Parents names

I would love to know whether she had a sibling or cousin named Hannah however I realise this would require much more extensive looking, so for the moment her parents names would be most useful.
