Robert Edgar Atkinson


Robert Edgar Atkinson died Oct. 21, at age 86 after an extended illness.

He was born and raised at Sand Lake.

He graduated from Nestucca Union High School and attended Oregon State University.

He owned and operated Atkinson Jersey dairy farm for his entire adult life.

He was a longtime member of the Tillamook County Creamery Association.

He married Audrey Kay Braden in 1951 and was happily married until her death in 2000.

Active in church activities, he was a longtime member of the Hemlock Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his sons, Rob and Greg, as well as three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren
