Is it possible to find out information about an adopted child before they were adopted? My husband passed away last December and his family doesn't speak to me so I'm not sure where to look. I know who his biological parents are but I can't seem to find anything on them either. Gary and his biological brother were adopted by their step dad when Gary was around 14 years old. I know him and his brother lived in an orphanage in Norfolk, VA when they were little but I can't even find the name of the orphanage listed anywhere.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
