Would anyone in the Fond Du Lac area be willing to try to locate information on Anna and Albert Oldenburg for me? If you are already in a place looking up other records of course. Someone had sent me a link to a few different places for records in Fond Du Lac, but I won't be able to visit Wisconsin for some time. I believe Albert and his sons worked for Fred Reupling Leather Co. Anna and Albert and their son Max are buried in the Estabrook cemetary. Any records or photos would be helpful. They arrived in 1923 on ship Canopic. Their children were Walter, Will, Max, George, Hans, Kaethe (Kathryn), and Charlotte. I haven't been able to locate descendants of the Oldenburg boys. Kathryn was my great grandmother who married a Hennen. And Charlotte became a Williams. Albert and Anna were in their 50's when they arrived. Albert died in 1948 and Anna in 1959. I haven't been able to locate obituaries on Albert, Anna, or Max. The record periods would be 1923-1959. I have the ship manifest, naturalization petitions, and a death certificate for Anna. I have what I felt would be enough information to learn more about this family, but when it comes to Anna and Albert I hit a lot of dead ends. Anna's death certificate lists her father as Fredrick Russ. On the ship manifest they were moving to be close to Alberts. a cousin August Raatz of Wautoma. If you are willing to help please message me. Thank you.
