Im searching for the Mclaren-Maclaren Family in Williamstown Glengarry around 1833. The names of this family that I know of are..

the father is supposedly Malcolm and I have no dates on him and unknown wife(she must have died young???). Malcolms children are David no dates on him either, Ellen Mclaren b about 1824 married a Kernell then Straight died in Michigan, Malcom b about 1835-1838 married Sarah Clancy died in Michigan, Angus born in 1833 in Glengarry married Ann Cumming, Agnes Fuller, and Sarah Ackerman died in Michigan. I suspect all 4 of Malcolms kids were born in Glengarry area. Malcolm and Angus married in Victoria.

I cannot trace David Mclaren in Canada at all. I found Malcolm in the 1871 census in Victoria North. I found Angus in Lanark North in 1871(living by his wifes family), I found Ellen in 1861 in Glengarry and 1871 in Wolf Island. I cant find any of them before 1861.

This family immigrated to Gratiot and Muskegon Michigan in the 1870's-1880. David may have immigrated earlier.

Im sooooooooo stuck. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated

Thanks

Margie
