Hi, I just stumbled on to your message. We heard a fun story about the cemetery from a source that had lived in the area.We were looking for my husbands G. Grandmother Catherine Bailey. We were told she is in the small fenced in area along with the two Howell children E L and Robert Howell, her grandchildren as she was married to a Howell before Mr. Bailey. Her son Elmore is buried in the larger cemetery. Anyway they say there was talk of moving the small cemetery because of the school being there and it was said Elmore Howell and the people in the area stood with their guns and told them no one was doing that.So they fenced the small cemetery there and made the larger one across from it.This was a fun thing to hear as we had relatives here that day from Texas and were showing them where the cemetery was. We happened to be there as the family of a long time resident was being burried and they knew the story.
You can get a copy of the cemetery plots at the library in Pryor or I have one.
