$50.00 Reward! Wanted information on Henry A. Porter, born April ,1846, Jackson County, Missouri, married 1869 in Missouri to Margaret A. ? Their children were Lillian Porter, born June, 1870 MO., Catherine Porter, born Nov. 1873 TX., Hallie Porter born Aug. 1875 IL., and Verne H. Porter, born Dec. 1888 TX. During the Civil War Henry A. Porter was a member of Capt William Clarke Quantrill's Missouri Guerrillas. He was wounded on June 8,1864, south of Independence, Missouri. He was also at Centralia, Missouri, Sept 27,1864. Henry went to Kentucky with Capt Quantrill and surrendered at Samuels' Depot, Kentucky on July 26,1865 with fourteen men including the outlaw Frank James. After the war he represented one of Jackson County, Missoui's districts in the State Legislature. He went to Texas where he was a judge of a county court. Next he moved to Everett, Snohomish County, Washington where he and family are listed in the 1900 Census, E.D. 213, Sheet 19, Line 98, Everett City. Henry is listed as a Court Commissioner.
