My great grandparents Frances SZCZYGIEL and Anna DOMBROWSKI immigrated from Poland to the US. My grandgather Anton SZCZYGIEL born May 18, 1874 was their first son and also the first of their children to be born in the US. Their other children were: daughters - Frances m ? SKIBITSKI, Anna m ? JEWESKI, Julia M. ? pratch, and Martha; sons - Felix and Peter. I know that all the sons were born in the US, but I don't which, if any, of the daughters that were. My grandfather married Rosalia PERSZYK on January 31, 1899. Rosalia was born in Chicago, Illnois. Her parents were Paul and Rosalia HAUSER. Rosalia HAUSER was the community nurse / midwife. Paul was apparently quite well educated and when they immigrated to the US used most of their luggage allotment to bring books. The PERSZYKs lived in a large house in Perham along the shore of a lake.
