I would please like a lookup in

Oren F. Morton's book "A History of Monroe County, West Virginia." Staunton, VA, the McClure Company, Inc., 1916. 506pp plus index. Includes genealogies. Reissued by Greenbrier Historical Society and Monroe County Historical Society, 1998

for David Ralston, along with a John Ralston, who seem to be listed on a 1782 tax list of some kind. I need to know exactly what tax list. It can't be a Monroe Co tax list as Monroe did not form until 1799 from Greenbrier. I would think it was a Greenbrier Co tax list. However, Greenbrier didn't form until 1788.
