I am looking for the ancestors of my greatX4 grandmother, Betsey Proctor, born 21 Aug 1770 in Marblehead, Essex County, Massachusetts, died 08 Feb 1827. She was married to Solomon Gould 31 Oct 1790. My greatX3 grandfather, William Proctor Gould, was born 9 OCT 1793 in Salem. There was a younger sister, Eliza, born 30 Jun 1806 also in Salem. William relocated to Boligee, AL and married in 1822.

Of particular interest is any relationship of Betsey Proctor Gould to the accused witch, John Proctor. John Proctor had a son by his second wife, Elizabeth Bassett, named William Proctor, born 6 Dec 1674 or 1675. William married Jemima Collins 12 Nov 1727 in Lynn, Essex County.
