DENTON - Newton Willard Lamb of Denton died Saturday at a Denton hospital. He was 82.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Southmont Baptist Church of Denton, where he was a member. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.

Jack Schmitz & Son Funeral Home in Denton is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lamb was born in Manila, the Phillipines. He was a graduate of Texas A&M University. He was retired as Southern Division director of quality control for Borden Inc.

He lived in Dallas before moving to Denton.

Survivors: Wife, Mary Ellen Lamb of Denton; son, Newton Lamb Jr. of Houston; daughter, Linda Hood of Plano; brother, Theo Lamb of San Diego; and four grandchildren.
