I am looking for information on the parents of James Madison Lomax, born 1801 or 1802. By adulthood he had moved to Talbot County, Maryland, where he had five wives and died in 1862. We have plenty of family history after James Madison, but do not know where he came from. The birth cert says Baltimore, but there are no records. Past family researchers thought St. Marys or Charles Cty, Maryland. I know there are plenty of Lomax families in Virginia, so I am exhausting all possibilities.
