You recently checked the Archives Départementales for someone researching the HORN family.
I knew that many French records were in the French internet (minitel, yes?), but didn't realize that they were as long ago as the 1850's. I'm researching the following family, supposed to be from Villar sex sell, Hootsanville, France, which I've been told was in the Alsace region. Would you be willing to see if there's any information easily available?

CLERGET family:
Stephen Gustave CLERGET, born unknown date
Married to Francisca Marie LOISET, born 1818-1830
Children:
Lewis, born 1850 in France
Mary Frances, born Oct. 14, 1851 in Belfort, France
Amos Joseph, born Jan 13, 1852 in France
This family emigrated about 1854 to New York. I don't know if there were CLERGET relatives who stayed in France.
