YOUNGSTOWN – Prayers will be held Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Christine Church for Virginia D. Nagie, 92, who passed away Friday morning, May 14, 2010 at Hospice House.
Virginia was born June 10, 1917, in Youngstown Ohio, the daughter of Patsy and Mary (Bellino) Prologo.
Virginia was a member of St. Christine Church.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society at Briarfield Manor.
She enjoyed bowling, crocheting and knitting.
She also liked Italian music, loved animals and enjoyed cooking.
Her husband, Louis A Nagie, whom she married Aug. 8, 1936, passed away July 27, 1998.
Virginia leaves her two daughters, Delores (Joseph) Parrello of Hubbard, Ohio and Patricia (Gregory) Schesler of Canfield, OH; a brother, Dominic Prologo of Columbiana, Ohio;
six grandchildren, Kathie (Tom) Meeds, Louis (Marj) Parrello, Sharon (James) Dever, Gregory (Karen) Schesler Jr., Joseph (Mary) Schesler and Suzanne Schesler; seven great-grandchildren, Michael (Stacy), Cassie, Nicole, Ben, Stephanie, Taylor and Tina; and two great-great-grandchildren, Evan and Lazerius.
Besides her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by four sisters, Rosie Alli, Mary Bono, Carmel Butryn and Josephine Pecalitsky; and three brothers, John, James and Joseph Prologo.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Cursillo Bible Vigil at 8 p.m.

Virginia’s family would like to thank the staffs at Briarfield Manor and Hospice House for all of their wonderful care.
Burial will take place at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.
