My Father was born in Philadelphia 1881. At the age of five or six (unknown) his father was killed in a drive by shooting while he was sitting with his wife on his front porch. After his death his mother had no means of supporting him and any brothers. They were placed in a Methodist Orphanage. No records are available as the orphanage was distroyed by fire and all the records. My father believes he may have had a brother. He later went into a foster home.
