I am trying to track my Ham family. The last record I have is an 1850 US census for my ancestor. His name is William Ham and he is listed in Columbus, Ga (Muscogee County).
The record shows:
William Ham Age 27 (or 29) Waggon Maker
Francis C. Age 24
William Age 3
George W. Age 1
They all show as coming from Georgia on the Census. From other records I know that his wife was Francis Cornelia Hasty, the oldest boy is William Thomas Ham, and the youngest boy is George Washington Ham. William eventually moved to Louisiana.
In 1830, I see Ham families in McIntosh, Monroe, and Houston counties that had a male child between 5 and 10 years old. One of these could be William who would have been 7 or 9 years old.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
