I am looking for info on the James & Josephine Smith family who lived in Trinity & Polk counties, Texas. I found James along with wife Josephine and son John James, age 1 on the 1870 Trinity county census. They had children John James, born about 1869, Missouri Annie, born 1871, and Lucinda, born 1874. John James was married at least twice (once to a Thornton); Missouri Annie married a M.F. Rogers, and Lucinda married A.J. Lewis in 1902. John James was murdered in Corrigan, Polk county Tx in 1914. Missouri Annie's death cert. is in Beaumont, Tx; she died in 1959 from drowning in a canal. Lucinda died in 1936 in Houston, Tx. She is buried in Polk County, Tx. Josephine married a Willoughby Tullos in 1875 then later married a Mr. Green. Josephine is buried in the Stryker Cemetery in Polk Co. Lucinda's obit stated she had a sister names Betty Sirmon who lived in Conroe. I would like to know where James & Josephine married and when. Also, where and when James died. Did he & Josephine divorce or did he die after Lucinda was born in 1874. Lucinda was my husbands grandmother. I would appreciate any help.
