I found James Smith in the 1870 census for Trinity County, Texas, along with wife Josephine and son John. I believe Josephine was a Turner before marriage. I am trying to learn more about them; i.e. where they married, where and when James died and where he was buried. James was born, per census, in Mississippi around 1847. I have seen so many Smith's and Turners in and from Mississippi. I would appreciate any help.
