I have just found my great great great grandmother's tombstone. I cannot find her birth certificate, but her marriage certificate says she was Jane Ann Bowen Fish 1805-1881 and she married Francis Stoddart from Scotland in 1839. They had a some named Charles Fish born in 1830. I don't think they would wait 9 years to get married after having Charles. I think Charles might have a different biological father and Francis adopted him. Since her name on the marriage certificate says Fish, I wonder if Charles father is named Fish or her mother's maiden name is Fish. Her tombstone says she is the descendant of Daniel Boone of Kentucky. I am trying to fill in the lineage from Daniel Boone 1734- 1820 and her. I find it interesting that someone valued this information so much, they put it on her tombstone. Does anyone have any information that might help me or have any idea how I can obtain this information?
