I am now approaching 50 but when my sister and I were quite small we used to play in an old cemetery up in the woods.. It was back in the mid 50's and quite over grown even way back then. it is a small cemetery that used to be accessible only by a dirt path up thru the woods.. It is locate in what is now Chesterfield Co. Va...but may have been Richmond, VA way back then..I know that in the 1950's the mailing address was Richmond. It is not far from a place called The Halfway House..if you are familiar w/ that..an old house that was halfway between Richmond and Petersburg. It is also not too far from an area that is locally known as Dutch Gap. thought not in Dutch Gap..In recent years someone has attempted to halfway clean it up...Don't know i f it is even on county register...
a few stones I remember from when I was a kid are long since gone I have a list of names and dates of graves...
The last names are mostly Hatcher....some are Friend , Peers, Woolridge, Florinda, and James..if you had people in this area and want more info contact me..and I will send you a list of the names and dates...dates are in 1700's 1800's and last burial in 1911..... Betty
