Sir, Since three or four months since I sent you affidavit of Charles F Goodwin together with my own. Setting forth the loss of the said warrant No [number] 31940 granted to corporal Jonathan Conrey. Neither Goodwin nor myself have heard any thing respecting the matter will you please write me on te subject. Yours Jonathan Conrey, Box 578 P.O."

Her former husband named John Gardiner [sic] and he died New Orleans La [Louisiana] in the year 1835.... He [Jonathan Conrey] always lived in New York City... that deponent has always lived in New York City since her marriage..."
