Caroline A. FOWLER was the second daughter of John FOWLER (b. 1828 NC) and Sarah G. CARNLEY (b. 1831 AL) of Pike County. She is in the 1860 census (age 5) with the family but not in the 1870 Pike County census with her widowed mother in Troy. Sarah FOWLER, sons Frances Marion FOWLER, and Asbury Calvin FOWLER, and daughter, Amanda STEVENS arrived in Wood County Texas in the 1870s.
