On 12 Nov 1843, Susan McGill m. Christopher C. Bradway; both were of Stephentown NY. On the same day and by the same Minister, John McGill m. Henrietta Carr. I suspect this was a "double wedding" with Susan and John being siblings.

In 1868, Christopher C. Bradway and Susan were parties with Margaret McGill, relict of Arundsen McGill, John McGill and wife (bad handwriting writing in the deed, but probably Henrietta), William J. Kennedy and wife Mary A., Stephen J. Kittle and wife Jane, Margaret McGill, Elizabeth McGill, Hugh McGill and wife Eunice, and William McGill and wife Margaret (the last of White Pigeon, St. Joseph Co. MI), when they all sold property in Stephentown to George Jones. (Renss. Co. Deeds 141:315, dated 23 Dec 1868, rec. 20 Nov 1868.)

I am interested in any descendants of Christopher and Susan (McGill) Bradway (and also HIS ancstry!). They apparently resided in Pittsfield MA (Berkshire Co., and practically bordering Stephentown) after marriage.

Recently, I found a Cem. record on "Rootsweb" for a Christopher and Susan Bradway in (the vicinity of) Grand Rapids MI (Valley Cemetery, now the southern section of Oak Hill Cem.). He was b. 1822, d. 1893; she b. 1823, d. 1904. In the same plot: Jennie Bradway (no dates) and Margaret Lane 1845-1925 (perhaps their oldest daughter).

MI State Dept of Health had no death cert. for Susan, so she may have died elsewhere and only been buried in Grand Rapids with her husband. Christopher's death cert. (full date 25 Oct 1893) showed he was b. in NY, but parents'names were unknown.

Does this family ring any bells with anyone doing McGill research?
