Anyone out there with info to share on Jonathan Snyder marrying Mary Kromer ca. 1828. Oldest child confirmed in Reformed Congregation of Christ Union Church, Lower Saucon Twp., Northampton Co., youngest child confirmed in Christ Reformed Lutheran Church, Schoenersville, Lehigh Co., PA. Oral history confirmed in census that Jonathan was a locktender at the Biery Bridge (Lock # 36?)of the Lehigh Canal. Unconfirmed oral history states that Jonathan was one of the 1st tax collectors of Catasaqua. Daughter Susan Snyder married James G. Hicks in 1868 in Catasaqua. Oldest daughter Eliza Ann Snyder, married Benjamin Franklin Custer in 1851, most likely in the Catasaqua/Schoenersville area. If any of this is familiar, please contact me.
