I’m seeking help to track down obituaries for two sisters. Margaret/Margaurite Lang was born in Manhattan about 1881 and died in the Bronx during Jan 1963, and her sister Kathryn was born in Manhattan in either 1886 or 1893 and died in the Bronx in March 1971. The death year and month are taken from the US Social Security death index. The women lived in the area of Jerome/Davidson/Valentine Avenues (University Heights?).

If obituaries this old are not in some searchiable online database, then if someone can point me to a government/library organization that might be able to assist I would appreciate it. I'd also like to learn what newspapers were circulating at the time that would have carried this information.
