Searching for a list of Veterans Hospitals and their locations during the 1950's. An uncle is believed to have died in a GA Veterans Hospital around 1956 but this is only hearsay. Is there somewhere I can obtain a listing for a veteran that might have been in one of these hospitals? If anyone is able to do a lookup, I would gratefully appreciate it. The uncle I am searching for information is Joe Johnson, born bet. 1893-1898 and served in either WWI or WWII (not sure which one). His wife is listed as Margaret and he had a son named George. Joe was born in Bladen Co., NC, served in the military, married and moved to Florida. The family lost touch and I would like to be able to include his descendants in our family tree.
