I was hoping that someone might have information on Joshua Ray JOHNSON. I know he was born to Stephen, b. abt. 1784 in Vermont and Cynthia (?), b. abt 1796 in New York, JOHNSON in Ohio possibly in Cuyahoga County between 1829-1830. According to the 1850 census his siblings were:
Jos. D. b. abt 1831
Abram b. abt. 1832
Stephen b. abt. 1835
Elizabeth b. abt 1836
Geo. H b. abt 1840 all born in Ohio
Joshua married abt 1854 to Lucinda (?) b. abt 1848 in PA
They had:
Cynthia b. abt. 1855
Joseph b. abt. 1859
Stephen b. abt.1860
Mary b. abt 1867 all in Iowa
I have tracked Joshua through the census from 1850 to 1900. In 1880 Lucinda is missing so I believe she died, sometime between 1870 & 1880, I also need information on her if there is any. Cynthia was gone also, possibly married. The rest of them were in Missouri, Jasper County, Mineral twp.
Joshua might be my gg-grandfather and Mary wouldbe my g-grandmother. He disappears aft 1900 where the census lists him in Baxter Springs married for 8 years to a Sarah (?) b. aby 1846 TN. He might be buried there or in Joplin where Mary is living with her husband, Frank TALLY, b. abt 1862 MO, or even in Chetopa, KS where Stephen lived.
I would like to get more information and to see whether he is related or not. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
