Gladys R. Yarberry died February 11, 2004 in Canon City, Colorado. She was born January 17, 1910 to Arthur Aaron and Arnie Vesta (Nelson) Althaus. On May 26, 1928 she married E. E. "Jake" Yarberry in Kingman, Kansas.

She attended the First Christian Church and preferred the Disciples of Christ affiliation. She was a member of the Elkettes, the Pink Ladies and was a charter memeber of the Navy Mothers 816.

She is survived by her children: Kenneth Yarberry and Larry Yarberry; 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Also, sisters Vada Reiser, Jane Nickles and Helen Goldston.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 great grandchild and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was buried in Lakeside Cemetery, Canon City, Colorado.
