Hi All,

Need some UK assistance, grandmother was born Mollie Beatrice Hudson in June 1911 to unknown parents. She listed on her Marriage cert her father as James Gibson Hudson - of which we can find no record. Her story is that her family died when she was young of Spanish Flu 'up north', she was the only surviver. We know she had a passport as she travelled out to Australia in the 1980's but am unable to locate any James Gibson Hudson with a child Mollie Beatrice born in that year. I have found a Mollie Beatrice born june 1911 in FreeBMD but cannot locate a parent on that list. At one time I wrote to UK Births/Deaths and Marriages for the birth cert if the father was James but they emailed me and said it wasn't james.

HOW DO I SOLVE GRANDMOTHERS MYSTERY? she passed away in 1999 before I worked out the problem.
