I am looking for records of my grandmother who died on the north carolina reservation in this century. I also have a great grandmother who survived the trail of tears and married into my family under the surname: Satterfield. My grandmother who died on the reservation should have had Tindle or Gardner as a surname. If anyone has any helpful info on these people or on how I can trace these lineages I would greatly appreciate it.
