Dear Brenda, My grandmother was Lonna Belle Gibson m James 'Jim' Yates 09-1914. She left her bible to me when she died when I was a child and had hand-written her name and the location Big Sandy on the back fly-leaf. Her brothers were Walter Gibson and Clayton Gibson. Sisters were Georgia Gibson (Ramsey) and Maizie (sp) Gibson. They also lived at Millard Bottom, Merrimac, Williamson in Mingo County, Tug Fork, and Pikeville, Pike County. She also wrote the names 'Harrison Cantrell & Andie Gibson Cantrell' and 'Doc Dotson'. Can you offer any help with any of these names? I know her mother died when she was a baby and she was raised by brother Walter where she lived at the time of her marriage to Jim Yates (my dad's dad).
