My family are connected to the Garbutts through Mary Ann Garbutt b.dec 15th 1814 and baptised in St George in the East, Tower Hamlets on Dec 18th 1814. Her parents are listed as Zachariah and Margaret Garbutt. Zachariah is a mariner.

I know that Zachariah is dead by the time Mary Ann marries Charles Parrett in 1841 as he is listed as late on her wedding certificate.

I am sure that this is not the Yorkshire branch of the Garbutts but I can find no further info on Zachariah, his wife Margaret or any further ancesters. There seem to be a lot of Garbutts being born and baptised in St George in the East in the 1760's onwards and I would love to be able to connect these dots up.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.
