One of my great, great, great, grandmothers was Ma Felipa Yrigollen born in Lampazos, Nuevo Leon in 1807 . Her father was Gordiano Yrigollen. In the Lampazos baptismal book it says de Espanol. Could mean he was from Mexico just of Spanish parents but I have hit a wall. Do you have either of these names in your tree?? Thanks

My research has indicated that the Yrigollen(Irigollen, Irogyen, Yrigoyen) came from Parras, Coahuila. My ancestor married in Monterrey, NL and her children seemed to go to Nava, Coahuila in the early 1800s. However she was actually born in Parras of a Basque father and a Tlaxcalan mother. The Yrigollens seemed to have something to do with Francisco Urdinola, who was also Basque.
