Monday, August 27, 1962
• "George W. Kuerner, retired plant executive of the Aluminum Company of America, died unexpectedly Sunday morning at his residence, 1000 Heidi St., in Alpine Hills.
"Kuerner, 66, was assistant superintendent of production at the Alcoa works in Mobile from its opening in 1938 until 1951 when he was transferred to Bauxite, Ark., as general superintendent of a new aluminum plant. He retired from that position in 1960 and returned to Mobile to make his home."
note- Alpine Hills is a subdivision located near The University of South Alabama and Mobile Municipal Park
