I know the official line is that marriage records do not start until late in the 1800's, but I know that some counties actually started to record marriage information as early as the 1840's, as I have found some records for my ancestors in Stark and Crawford counties Ohio from the 1840's.

Did Adams county PA start record marriage information this early and if so how would I find a marriage from the early 1840's
