We're particularly interested in William at this point...trying to confirm how he made his way to Knox County from England, and who his first wife was (believed to be Elizabeth (Winterbottom) Shaw, the mother of John and his siblings; Mary, Robert, Hannah, William, Ann, Joseph and Martha). It is believed that William's first wife died sometime between the birth of their last daughter in 1833, but before 1843, when he married his second wife, Catherine Piles, in Knox County. The other names listed in the subject line are John's daughters married surnames (Elizabeth "Hannah" Austin, Isabella "Belle" Newson, Charlotte "Emma" Frederick and Ella Esther Weirick.
