REICHERT, Shirley Snow - Died December 31, 1999, Larkspur, California. Place of birth Orangeville, Utah. Resident of Larkspur, California. Previous resident Bel Marin Keys.

Shirley Reichert, a mother of three; grandmother of eight; and soon to be great grandmother of a girl, expected in early March. She was the wife of Karl Reichert with whom she raised a family and shared a life for 49 years. Karl died in 1987. At that time, they had lived for a number of years in Bel Marin Keys.

Born in Utah, Shirley Snow was one of six children in a prominent Mormon pioneer family, a family that traced it's earlier roots in Massachusetts to the early 1600s. Of Shirley, a great-aunt noted that early on it was clear that she was someone very special. She was always one of the top of her class, and later valedictorian. As to her beauty and elegance, it was said that she captured the imagination of many young men in Utah and her husband's heart at first sight.

Shirley and Karl moved to California in 1953. They owned and operated a motel and restaraunt in Fresno for a number of years. After moving in 1965 to the Bay Area, Shirley became a real estte broker and later realtor with her own successful office in Sunnyvale. After retiring from real estate in 1978 and after their move to Bel Marin Keys, Shirley enjoyed being a member of the Marin Country Club, and the Bel Marin Keys Women's Club. She devoted her time to her family, and spending time as an avid golfer and as a lover of books.

She is survived by son John Reichert living in San Francisco; son Robin Reichert living in San Francisco; daughter Lisa Reichert living in San Jose; eight grandchildren, Jason, Ryan, Tyler, Blythe, Alexis, Jennifer, Kathleen, Elizabeth.
