Mable Wieser, 84, of Rosebud died Sept. 29 at her home. Funeral services were held Oct. 2 at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud with Rev. Lee Scott officiating. Burial followed at Woodland Cemetery in Rosebud.
Wieser was born Sept, 9, 1923 in Luling to Thomas and Lena Wright Robbins.
She graduated from Cedar Bayou High School in Baytown. She received an associates of arts degree in nursing from Houston Junior College of the University of Houston. She was a graduate from the Jefferson Davis Hospital School of Nursing in Houston.
She married Harold Wieser on Dec. 23, 1945.
She also volunteered for the U.S. Nurses Cadet Corp. at Jefferson Davis Hospital. She lived in Rosebud in 1975 and worked as a Registered Nurse and was Director of Nursing at Gulf Coast Hospital in Baytown and Heritage House Nursing Home in Rosebud.
She was member of the Rosebud Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Wieser, Sr. of Rosebud; son, Harold Wieser, Jr. and "daughter in love," Billie, of Rosebud; daughter, Becky Lundell and husband, Mike, of Luling; sister, Anna Belle Trahan of Baytown; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Memorials can be made to The Woodland Cemetery Association or the Charity of Choice.
