I have traced Cleva Lee Orcutt as living in Logansport, Cass Co. IN. I don't find her in the 1920 census, though. There is a marriage for her to Charles Orcutt on 10 Aug 1910, and the birth of twin daughters, Alicelee and Frances Lee Orcutt on 20 Aug 1912. She and the two daughters are on the 1930 census, and she is a widow. I have not been able to find a death record for Charles. He doesn't show up in any cemeteries in Cass Co. I found that Cleva lived with her daughter, Frances Lee Hall and her husband, Lonnie O. Hall, Jr. who served on the police force and became the chief of police sometime between 1945-49. Cleva worked for the city as a recorder as did her daughter, Frances and Frances also ran for Cass County Treasurer in 1960 after having lost both her mother and husband that year. I found a picture of Frances in the Royal Centre Record in 1960 where she is running for this office. I was slightly taken aback when I saw the resemblance to my mother who was her 3rd cousin from a family named Lee from Bedford Co. PA, my line having moved to IL in 1866.
I would like to know of a DOD on Charles Orcutt, the husband of Cleva and what happened to the other twin, Alicelee Orcutt. I have found there was a son of Frances and Lonnie and hope to get in touch to exchange info and pictures. I'd especially like to see pictures of Frances at a younger age to see if this resemblance is evident there as well.
If possible, perhaps there is someone living in Cass Co. who could do an Obituary lookup on Cleva Orcutt who died 23 Aug 1960.
