I am interested in obtaining information regarding the parents of Willis Guy (who married Mahala Gibson). Family sources have informed me that his parents were Edmund (or Edmond) Guy and Judith (aka Judy or Juda) Jeffers (or Jeffries). Census records show that Judith was born in VA approx. 1790 and died 1872, presumably in Macon County, NC. Judith was one-half Cherokee Indian. I have also found Judy Guy listed in the Orange County NC 1830 Fifth Federal Census. All I have found regarding Edmund is bond being posted 8 Sept. 1813 for a marriage to Tilley Wooten with bondsman as Jesse Guy. Any information regarding Edmund Guy and Judith Jeffers would be most appreciated.
