This was a very prominent family in Queen Anne's County in the mid- to late-1800s. Samuel married the widow of his brother. She was born near Caracas, Venezuela; and she and her six children, born in Venezuela, joined Samuel at Corsica Creek. My GGrandfather, Matthew William Parris, married one of Whiting's adopted daughters, Parmelia (Pamela) Rachel Whiting, and they lived in QA County until the late 1800s, whereupon they moved to Philadelphia.
