Julia Anna (July, Julianna, Annie,J.A.) Marshall was my gg grandmother. She was born 4/8/1871 or 1874 in Arkansas. She married John Oliver Sutton (1/2 Cherokee Indian) on April 24, 1888 in Hunington, Sebastian, Arkansas. She had a daughter, Lucille (Lucy) Caroline Sutton in Ft. Smith, Arkansas October 22, 1891. (Lucille was my g grandmother.) When her first husband died as a "US Marshal" <---still trying to confirm. She married someone with the last name McBride before or around 1896. By 1900 she was going by Annie and she was married to Ed Shultz. (He had two children by a previous marriage named Julia and Daniel.) When she died October 12, 1944 she was married to James A. Moore of Claremore or Tulsa Julia Anna's obituary mentions that she is survived by F.H. Moore (Tulsa, OK?), J.H. Moore (L.A., Ca), and W.E. Moore of South Pasadena, Ca. (I don't know if these are biological or step sons) It also lists a daughter, Mrs. J. Roy Jackson of Fulton, Mo. (I don't know if biological or step) It also lists three sisters. Mrs. T.E. Grishon, Miss Esther Marshall, and Mrs. Robert Slaughter, all of Miami, Fl. The obit lists 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchilren, but not any of their names. Her parents are listed as Nathan Marshall (born N.Y.) and Caroline "Carrie" Johnson (born Arkansas). The 1880 Census of Logan County Arkansas lists her as July A. age 9y. Other known siblings are also listed with these same parents. Lettie R. 11y; Mary J. 8y; Allice 6y; John P. 4y; and Tennie 2y. All were born in Arkansas except for the father, Nathan. He is also listed as a preacher on the 1880 Census. Note: Tennie was rumored to have helped with recovering bodies from a hurricane in Florida. (I don't know what year)
