My great grandmother, Catherine Windhausen, died in 1902 according to records from Assumption Cemetery in Onondaga Co. on Aug. 9, 1902. The copy I have from the cemetery books is not real clear. My great grandfather, Peter Windhausen, died in April 1899, is buried next to her. I was able to get an uncertified copy of his death record, but they said they did not have one for Catherine. They suggested I check in Homer, Tully, and Cortland which I did by phone and they did not have records for her either. I work full time and it is hard to get to Syracuse when the courthouse, etc. is open. I live over 3 hours away. I have hit a brick wall here. Where is her death record? I also have not been able to find an obit for either of them at the library. I hope someone might be able to help me. Thank you in advance.
