Can anyone tell me if there are any online resources for marriage records before 1820 for Hamilton County,OH? I am trying to find the marriage date of John Jones and Marion Tippegan and of John Jones and Eliza Speilman his second wife. John's son George Washington Jones was born June 5,1817 in OH. Family records say he was from Cincinnati.John & Marion also had another son named Charles.
Jones is such a common name and it is very hard to fnd records. Does anyone have access to marriage,birth,Census or death records that could do a lookup on John Jones & his wife Marion and 2nd wife Eliza for that time period. I have no idea when they died but after 1817 for sure.It is possible that they might have still been alive in 1850 as he was born in 1792 and Marion was born in 1793.So they might be in the 1850 OH Census. I tried to check Ancestry.com and FTM but they only have indexes and many John Jones listed but only a few in Hamilton,County in Cincinnati. Any help would be greatly appreciated.George Washington Jones md. Mary Louisa Kittredge in Assumption Parish,LA I believe. The 1860 Census shows George there and 6 children born in LA between 1845-1859. So George moved to LA before 1850. But I can't find his father there.
