My sister and I were taken away from our birth mother in Monmouth,ILL May 2nd 1959 and placed for adoption just a few weeks later, our adoptive parents got us on May 21 1959, and took us to out new home in Kansas, that day, adoption was finalized 6 months later in Olathe,KS
My father was listed as Clyde Pounds age 42 at my birth March 9 1958 in Ill, it also stated he was born in Union City,Tennesee, which means he was born aprox 1916-17
mama said he passed away in a car crash in Califoria in the late 70,s. at the time of our adoption the court papers listed him as possibly liveing in Phoenix,Arizona
I got a listing from SS about a Clyde Pounds in Oakland ,Ca that died Feb 1978, spoke to his wife and she stated they had been married yrs and yrs and he had no ther marriage or other children?
Any help please.
