Looking for anyone who may be able to help with the search for my great x2 grandmother, Martha Bradley (née Neasham, Neeson etc) who was born in 1882 in Northallerton, according the 1911 census.
She was married to John William Bradley for 10 years already in 1911, though I can find no record of this marriage anywhere. They had 13 children, 8 of whom survived to adulthood. On the birth records of the children there are 6 variants of her possible maiden name given. These are:
Lancelot 1909, Neasham
Cecil 1912, Neasom
Evelyn 1914, Neason
Iris 1918, Mason
Joyce 1921, Neeson
Ronald 1924, Neesan
All were born in Sacriston, (Chester-le-Street district), County Durham - though the first child, also John William, was born in 1901/1902 in Haswell, County Durham.
Martha died on 29th April 1941, aged 59, at Sacriston, with her husband serving as informant, (he later died in 1948).
I have found all the available census records for John William Bradley, Martha's husband, prior to their marriage/cohabitation, however I cannot identify Martha in any census before 1911, though interestingly John William was living with a sister Martha Ann, also born 1882 in Northallerton in the 1901 census, so I'm wondering if perhaps this was actually his wife and just misrecorded?!
Any assistance on this case would be massively appreciated. It has mystified me for more than 7 years!!
