Hello All,

I am looking into my maternal line with the wife of a James Hyslop born 1719 in Kirkcudbright; died 1814 Rerrick, Kirkcudbrightshire. He had married in February of 1750 to a Miss Elizabeth Paterson also of Kirkcudbright born 1721. Their daughter of which I am decesended Miss Jean Hyslop b. 1754 married Nicholas Irving or Irvine.

I am specifically interested in the parentage of James and Elizabeth. I have yet to find anyone researching these families past 1800. Given that their great granddaughter moved to Ontario, Canada like so many other Hyslop relations I am hoping that someone might have information to share.:-)
