In my home library I have the following resources
that members may want to tap into for information
concerning their families that lived in Benewah County;
emphasis on St. Maries but other towns represented
as well. Some but not all are indexed. Members or
visitors to the website seeking information can contact

I have been copying family information from St. Maries
news circa 1901 through 1940's, I have a great many
LOCAL/PERSONAL columns that include names other
than family. Also have copied stories of interest/photos
tax lists/advertisements.
I have hundreds of family photo's from St. Maries
and area that include photos of buildings/people.
Most people are not named other than family but
is a great historical reference.
I have online subscription census databases that
cover all of Idaho census reports.
I am about a mile away from Idaho Death Index and
Death certificates on microfilm. Cover the years 1911
to 1936. I charge $7.50 per individual copy of a cert.
Also available at the same price Washington State
Birth/Death index and certificates 1907-1952. I also
go to the Oregon State Archives about once a month,
same charge for copies of Oregon Death Certs. These
copies are from microfilm, I go to great lengths to pro-
vide good quality images, the certs. ARE NOT CERTIFIED,
for genealogical purposes/information only. I also
perform Oregon cities obituary searches $7.50 per
individual, I have access to most Oregon City/Towns
on microfilm.
Besides these fee services I would be most
happy to perform FREE lookups from my Benewah County
resources to members/nonmembers.Please bear
in mind that vague open ended queries are too time
consuming to perform. Form your query with name, time
frame, area of residence if known, occupations if known
can help as well for cross reference purposes. Also keep
in mind that Idaho history is heavy with border crossing,
from the early years to the 1930's especially, the nature
of a great many occupations, logging, railroading, mining
etc produced a transient population. Oregon Washington
Idaho Montana and Canada, the flux and flow of migrations.
