I did a google search on my last name and I found the name Ybaben. I do not know if this will be helpful, but I was told by my Aunt Inez that the name used to be spelled Ybaben. According to her it was spelled that way until about 1918. It was Americanized and changed to EBABEN. I can trace the name Ebaben back to that date in the San Antonio, Texas main library. I live near Washington D.C. and I went to the National Archives to trace my family tree. Unfortunately, I can not go past 1900 because there was a fire in the National Archives and destroyed the records of 1890.
I do know that Pedro EBABEN married Clotilde Ximenez and had 3 children: Refugio,Felicita aka Fela and Brenardina.
Refugio was born in El Paso. Whether he had any brothers or sisters I do not know but I do know that someone or some family went west to New Mexico. I do know that Refugio settled in Cibilo, Texas, because that is where the first 3 children were born. Refugio then moved his family to San Antonio, Texas where the last 4 children were born
