General Affidavit (attached to pension file)

.....I know the claimant. I have known her since we were children. We were raised in same neighborhood. Her maiden name was Rader. She first married Jackson Rader. She was not married before she married him. He died at Afton, Greene County, Tennessee, and soon after his death claiment came back to the old neighborhood, and has lived there since. She next married the soldier, James S. Stroud. She was not married from death of Rader until she married Stroud. She and Stroud lived together from marriage until his death and were not separated nor divorced. She has not remarried since his death and is still his widow. I knew the first wife of the soldier, whose name was Sarah. She died in the fall of 1911. I was at her home and saw her dead body. I know all above facts from being a near neighbor and my intimate acquaintance with the parties.
